About

We are distributed by Royal Mail throughout Ceredigion, West Wales to all homes and businesses. We upload each edition to Facebook.

We produce over 42,000 copies each issue, giving a potential readership of well over 100,000. So your advert will literally be in the hands of your potential customers.

By comparison all the other Ceredigion advertising publications COMBINED produce up to 12,000 copies (variable and approximate) which are either picked-up in shops (no good during Covid) or have to be paid for.

These figures make advertising with us BETTER VALUE BY FAR for running your advertising campaign in Ceredigion.

The size of The Advertiser is A3 folded - not so big it’s unwieldy, not so small it gets lost.

We can produce your advert using your ideas and images or we accept jpg and pdf files.

Our story starts back in 1981 when Steph’s dad started a local free paper called The Cambrian Trader. When the first edition was delivered through the post the phone didn’t stop ringing! There was so much interest. Being able to reach everyone in the county was effective then and it remains the same.

Steph worked on the artwork side of things as a school leaver. The principle was the same but the method was very different. We started with lynotype machines, light boxes and plenty of glue! Dark room work and plate-making was the order of the day. Then we moved on to phototypesetting and computer typesetting. Now we use a computer programme and upload finished copy to the printer.

The original paper has changed hands and names several times but we still find ourselves working with that original idea - promoting local business with a local product. The internet has changed the way people communicate and has shaken things up a bit. Nevertheless, we are convinced that our methods are still relevant and effective.

We look forward to working with you.
